Description
Whilst I have been creating my Stage 1 report, I have also been spending time on another assessment called Project Me. The assessment entails a website which you are reading from right now! We have designed this website tailored to our individual personalities and is a portfolio style of work. This project was set to show off our creative and innovative nature in a more relaxed nature. In addition to the website, I have also updated my CV so it is altered for future roles and also fits the theme of this site! Before I created the site, I looked on Pinterest for inspiration and I also looked at job roles that I am interested in, so the website would be truly fitting to who I am as a person and what I want to be in the future.
Feelings
While getting briefed for Project Me, I knew that I needed to expand my creative and technological mind, so I was feeling quite apprehensive as to how this was going to work. Whilst I started to create this website, I felt more eased, as the platform is facile to navigate. My confidence increasingly rose as I employed different sections in my work, such as this blog I am writing now! The website was coming together nicely and I felt positive that this project would be successful.
Evaluation
What I felt was most positive from this project was the fact I had creative freedom in my work, and I had the opportunity to work independently to express myself. It was an interesting and innovative project, and from looking at my peers work, I love how everyone interpreted it to their own style. It was interesting to get to know my peers on a more personal level.
Whilst I felt that there were next to no negatives that came from this project, I struggled with finding the style of how I wanted to represent myself. I redid my website multiple times to ensure it was the best of my ability and was unique to my personality. However, this meant I was challenged in my work and I feel that a good outcome came of this.
Analysis
From this project, I have gained self confidence in my work, as creating a website was something completely new to me and I believe that I took on the challenge well. Being able to show my achievements through this platform was an enticing experience and it was diverting to be able to do this alongside Stage 2.
Conclusion
To conclude the Project Me journey, it was a great opportunity to create a website that will not only help my degree, but I can also use further when I move into the industry. It allowed my mind to explore creatively and freely.
Action Plan
Although this website is necessary for my degree, I will continue to update the blog and the rest of the site further. As I know from my other projects, there is always room for improvement. Additionally I to ensure success post-graduate, I will encourage myself to continue to post and update this website, as it will prove my dedication to working hard. However, this blog post will be the last for a while, as now I need to get my head down on Stage 2!
