Year 2

Year 2 involved us in all about finding consumer insights and developing that into a marketing idea. We were introduced into the industry and created pitches based on various briefs from the brands. We also had the opportunity to chose an optional module, which I chose buying, as it is something that has taken my interest heavily. In addition to this, we took all that we learnt from the year to develop our own brand in a collaboration with Fashion Design. 

FaceGym

For this project, we were tasked with creating a new innovative product for the skincare brand FaceGym. After gaining consumer insight and conducting a market analysis, we created a product targeted at reducing puffiness in the eyes with a red light tool and personalised serums. We presented this task in front of the FaceGym marketing team which was highly received!

Brand Pack Development

Towards the end of second year, we paired up with Fashion Design to create a brand based on their work. The student I worked with aimed to use her clothing to unmask the male gaze, and thus I used this to create a brand which empowered femininity.

Buying Assesment

The brief from the buying module tasked us with creating a successful range for the upcoming seasons of a chosen brand. For this I focused on Urban Outfitters Womenswear, specifically mini dresses. Combining the research with financing and budgeting, this project was one that I particularly enjoyed.
