Year 3
In my final year, it was predominantly based on trend research and accumulating our own findings on a macro trend I found interesting. I chose to base my research around sustainable clothing.

This led me to have an interest in the Gen-Z and fast fashion paradox. For my first dissertation, I questioned whether an increase in knowledge around the impacts of fast fashion on sustainability creates a barrier in sustainable purchasing behaviours from the Gen-Z consumer.

From my findings, I found that the Gen-Z consumer clothing values are; low cost, purchasing frequently and staying on trend. To combat these issues, I created a sustainable multi-wear clothing brand.

Future Thinking
For our first project, we learnt all about trends to create a literature review on a trend we were most interested in. I was particularly intrigued by sustainability in fashion, so I decided to hone in on the topic of "Luxury with a Conscience". (Read more about my experience on my blog)

Stage 1
Following Future Thinking, I was still focusing on sustainability. However, I wanted to look further into the Gen-Z and Fast Fashion paradox, as they are the leading generation for sustainable freedom, but are the main consumers of fast fashion. (Read more about my experience on my blog)
