When partaking in an research-based group at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool, I developed a fondness for analytics and data research. For this, we were tasked as a group to research into different medical issues such as bronchitis and meningitis to gain an understanding of the topics we were writing and editing about. We were then given examples of pamphlets with specific medical conditions which were then to be given to the patients. Therefrom, we analysed the pamphlets critically to ensure they were comprehensive and eligible for the young patients. This challenged my analytical skills and further encouraged me to be deeply commentative and push for when specific information was required.
