A Bit About Me
I am a driven post-graduate, having studied at Nottingham Trent University. I believe in working hard and being resilient towards challenges, which I impart in my day-to-day. My industry experience varies in many different sectors, but have taught me life and workplace skills which have encouraged me to gain a positive attitude and willingness to excel in future work roles.
During my time studying Fashion Marketing and Branding, I have taken a liking to the creative aspect and challenging my innovative thoughts. However, I my particular interests lay in the market research elements of my work. I have thoroughly enjoyed creating unique methods to gain consumer data; and further analysing the data to find contemporary information. I believe in sustainable shopping and have implemented these values into my dissertation, which is based on the Gen-Z and fast fashion paradox.

My Story
I grew up in Merseyside, with my mum, dad and 3 brothers. My parents have worked in the NHS their whole life, thus, I was surrounded by analytically driven minds. Because of this, I have grown up being a systemic and inquisitive thinker. Alongside this I also have a creative side, playing piano and having a strong interest in fashion since I was young.
Where this took me...
When I started my GCSE’s I knew I wanted to employ my creativity into my chosen subjects. To explore my creativity, I chose Art Textiles and Drama. From Art Textiles, my love of clothes and the intricacy that comes with designing was heightened. I loved learning about different designers and the techniques they created. And with drama I found a passion for performance and I developed a confidence in speaking in front of a large group of people. From this, I thought that Fashion Marketing and Branding would be the best course for my, as it combines public speaking, creativity and academics. So therefrom, I moved from my busy city of Liverpool to another busy city being Nottingham.

During my time at university, I have found a yearn to pursue the role as a buyer. Looking back at all of my modules, this is the role I have found most enticing. As it is a combination of fashion, team working and numbers, which is where my passions and skills lie. This course has helped me develop the necessary skills for a buyer. I have gained insights into the industry, learnt how to pitch well and learnt essential acumen. I am looking forward to life after university and to find what I will become in the future.
